Please briefly present the organization.

Asociatia Volundar is a non-governmental organization from Bucharest Romania. It was founded in 2015 with the aim of helping children and young people, to develop harmoniously, to build skills and a value system in step with the world we live in, to discover joy in the things that also make them actively integrate into society.

Most of our activities are addressed to young people whom we help, using non-formal education methods that follow European principles, to discover their abilities and talents, to align with the requirements of a continuously developing society that involves lifelong learning, to broaden their professional horizons, to follow an educational path according to their skills, desires and interests in order to build a career. An important pillar in achieving this objective is the facilitation of the interaction of young people with successful people with an openness to provide them with valuable information and to become their mentors, in the fields targeted by them. We are also happy to see that former participants of our programs are currently joining our team as volunteers wanting to share their experience with younger colleagues.

An important component of this type of program is intended for young aspirants in entrepreneurship who are facilitated access to conferences and events intended for entrepreneurs, consulting and quality mentoring.

We also work for groups of young pupils and students from various social backgrounds whom we help manage their resources and learn effectively in order to successfully complete their education and to access the jobs they want.

An important component of the organization's programs for young people is education for a clean environment, observing and measuring the effects of pollution, raising awareness and learning good practices to minimize the causes that contribute to altering the quality of air, water, soil and people's lives. We have with us in this endeavor a valuable team of expert volunteers and environmental activists.

In all our programs we focus on communication and respect, on ensuring access to programs for all young people who want to develop, we promote multiculturalism and equal opportunities for all.

Our team is made up of people with experience in different fields of activity but also in working with young people.

The president of the organization, Mihaela Manolache, has over 15 years of experience as a trainer and facilitator of educational and personal development programs for children and young people. He is a supporter of the concept of lifelong learning, creator and coordinator of the "effective learning" program for pupils and students. He is a counselor for personal development and a vocational counselor, she regularly develops workshop sessions and seminars on various topics (emotional intelligence, communication, time management, financial education, etc.) with groups of young people and individual mentoring sessions. She is also a good communicator and motivator.

Another key person in the organization is our Project Manager, Marian Manolache, also a person with a very consistent professional background - for over 15 years - in working with young people. He is a trainer and facilitator, an extremely energetic communicator and motivator, with a very consistent networking in the entrepreneurial field. He is the initiator of the "Children's Air" project, managing to gather around him a team of volunteers, activists and experts recognized for their work in the field of environmental protection. He is an extremely creative and active person, who spends most of his time outside his comfort zone and feels best around young people.

One of the most valuable volunteers of our organization is Cotiso Alexandru Hanganu, who, although he is a successful entrepreneur in the field of Business Intelligence, makes time whenever necessary to join our team. He is a very active and open person, communicates very well with young people, regularly runs internship and mentoring programs with young students, is a charismatic trainer and facilitator.

Alexandru is one of the youngest volunteers in our team. He is a first-year student at the Faculty of Business and Tourism at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, he is passionate about volunteering, working for three years during high school in the volunteer team of Intercact Atheneum where he had responsibilities in organizing events and he is passionate about IT, photography and sports. He is also a participant in Erasmus + programs in Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany 

Dan Matei is one of the volunteer experts on air quality and environmental issues who joined the "Children's Air" project, becoming one of the decision-making and coordinating committee members of the "Pollution" and "International Partnerships on Pollution" working groups. He is the owner of a company that produces air cleaning and purification systems, participates in international conferences and has access to an impressive database of data on pollution problems resulting from various studies and research, which makes the work materials and his presentations very well documented.

Vlad works in our organization as a coordinator of outdoor programs and sports activities. He works as a team leader in a multinational company but is a sports enthusiast with notable participation and results in national and international triathlon, cycling, snowboard and speedball competitions. He is a trainer and facilitator with over 10 years of experience working with youth groups and joins our team as a volunteer whenever necessary, bringing a lot of positive energy and good mood.

The team of volunteers is completed by other ambitious young people, who want to develop personally and get involved in new projects, with young people like them.
